1969
Origins in the coffee world.
Luciano Slitti, a man of discerning taste and visionary, decided in 1969 to open his own coffee roastery in Montecatini Terme, he did so with the intention of offering his customers something more than what they could find elsewhere. However, Luciano was not satisfied with the quality of coffee provided by his business partners, so he decided to take control of the roasting process and began roasting his own coffee.
1988
The passing of the baton in the Slitti family
When Luciano passed control of the company to his son Andrea in 1988, Slitti was already a respected name in the coffee world. A few years later his brother Daniele joined him and together they carried on their father's work successfully. But Andrea had a bigger ambition: chocolate.
1990
Andrea Slitti and the breakthrough in the world of chocolate
It was in 1990 that Andrea, inspired by his growing passion for chocolate, decided to expand Slitti's production to include chocolate. This move proved successful, as Slitti chocolate began to gain a reputation for excellence.
1993
Success in chocolate
The year 1993 marked another significant moment in Slitti's history: participation in its first competition. Since then, the company has never stopped receiving recognition, accumulating awards every year, becoming synonymous with quality in the confectionery industry.
